Rev. Mark Chan

Lead Pastor

Rev. Mark Chan has a Master of Divinity from Regent College, Vancouver, Canada in 2000. He has been pastoring in the North American Chinese ministry context for over 20 years. He also has a Master of Arts in Biblical Archaeology from Wheaton College in 2011. He is passionate about biblical preaching, teaching, pastoral ministry, and connecting archaeology with the Bible. Mark has led many study groups to Israel, helping people understand the archaeological and geographical context of the Bible, experience the amazing works of God in history and in our personal lives. His Chinese blog and YouTube channel feature his reflections, research and writings on archaeology and the Bible. With his wife and two teenage children, Mark serves as the lead pastor of Urban Voice. Mark is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Old Testament and Biblical Archaeology.

Minister Laisin Cheung

Church Minister

Laisin Cheung has a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She joined Urban Voice in 2017 and has served as the minister. Laisin used to serve in Back to God Ministry in Chicago suburb for over 20 years, having many experiences in the production of radio and media ministry. She has been passionate about serving the church, especially in the adult ministry, dedicated to pastoral care, teaching, evangelism, and growing Christians into fruit-bearing disciples.

Rev. Kwan Choi Ng

Senior Adults Pastor

Rev. Ng was a high school teacher in Hong Kong before his decades of pastoral ministry. Answering the call to ministry, Rev. Ng has served in the pastoral ministry in Hong Kong, New York, and Chicago. In the many years of ministry, Rev. Ng has been passionate about teaching, training, preaching, counseling, visitation, caring, evangelism, and missions. He has been active in the areas of evangelism and missions. In Hong Kong, he used to serve as a trustee in missionary organizations and Lutheran Overseas Missions for years. Rev. Ng’s Doctor of Ministry thesis focuses on the area of missionary education.

Minister Joyce Man-Tam

Minister of Family Ministries

Joyce Sin-Chong Tam has a master degree from Phoenix Seminary, majoring in family counseling and church leadership. She is well experienced in short-term missions. From 2008 to 2019, she visited many cities in creative access nations, Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and Hull, UK. She has a passion in assisting pastors to develop churches and expand the kingdom of God.

Phoebe Chen

Pastoral Assistant

Phoebe Chen is currently pursuing a Master degree in Christian Studies at Logos Evangelical Seminary, Chicago. She came to Christ in 2011. She had a wide variety of ministry experiences, including leading worship and small group, teaching Sunday school, managing volunteer teams, and functioning in administrative roles in the context of local church. She is committed to build up the body of Christ, so the church will shine in the community and to bring lost souls to the Lord.

Minister Ching Ting Chan

Minister of Worship Liturgy

Ching Ting (Amanda) Chan is a professionally trained musician. Since 2019, she has been serving in our worship ministry as a leader, musician, and member. She is passionate about serving in the church and empowering the community to worship the Lord and grow in faith. Her professional training and foundation in musical worship are a vital contribution to the spiritual growth of the church. Amanda is pursuing additional training in ministry, to further the integration of worship music and biblical theology.
