Mark Chan

Lead Pastor

Rev. Mark Chan received his Master of Divinity from Regent College, Vancouver, Canada in 2000. He has been pastoring in the North American Chinese ministry context for over 20 years. He also received his Master of Arts in Biblical Archaeology from Wheaton College in 2011. He is passionate about biblical preaching, teaching, pastoral ministry, and connecting archaeology with the Bible. Mark has led many study groups to Israel, helping people understand the archaeological and geographical context of the Bible, experience the amazing works of God in history and in our personal lives. His Chinese blog and YouTube channel feature his reflections, research and writings on archaeology and the Bible. With his wife and two teenage children, Mark serves as the lead pastor of Urban Voice. Mark is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Old Testament and Biblical Archaeology.

Chee Yie Jong

Assistant Minister

Chee Yie Jong received his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before joining Urban Voice, Chee has served in various ministry contexts, both in church and parachurch settings. Between 2017 to 2021, Chee served as a campus staff with Cru, equipping college students in the Chicagoland area on how to grow and multiply their faith through discipleship and mission opportunities. Chee loves listening to people’s stories and he has a deep desire to help others experience the full transformation power of the Gospel.

Ken Leung

Assistant Minister

Ken graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Hong Kong Alliance Bible Seminary and is currently pursuing a Master of Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before joining Urban Voice, he served in various churches and organizations in Hong Kong, taking on roles as an intern pastor and social work intern, actively engaging in community outreach and evangelistic efforts. Ken has a deep passion for studying the Bible and enjoys working alongside believers to put biblical truths into practice. He is committed to witnessing how God's Word takes root and flourishes in the lives of people from all walks of life within the community.

Ching Ting Chan

Minister of Worship and Media Ministries

Ching Ting Chan (Amanda) received her Master of Music in Performance from DePaul University in Chicago. She has received over twenty years of professional music training. Since 2019, she has served as a leader, musician, and member in worship ministry. She is dedicated to using her gifts to serve the church, helping the spiritual community engage more deeply in worship and grow together in their faith. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theological Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with the desire to serve the Lord more effectively.

Laisin Cheung

Minister of Cantonese Ministries

Laisin Cheung received her Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She joined Urban Voice in 2017 and has served as the minister. Laisin used to serve in Back to God Ministry in Chicago suburb for over 20 years, having many experiences in the production of radio and media ministry. She has been passionate about serving the church, especially in the adult ministry, dedicated to pastoral care, teaching, evangelism, and growing Christians into fruit-bearing disciples.

Joyce S Tam

Minister of Family Ministries

Joyce received her Master of Family Counseling and Church Leadership program from Phoenix Seminary. She has been involved in North American Chinese churches for over 40 years since becoming a Christian in high school, serving in various ministries including youth fellowship counselor, worship ministry, and outreach activities. She has extensive experience in short-term missions. From 2008 to the present, she has participated in short-term missions multiple times, visiting different cities in creative access regions, including Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Hull, UK; and Kurdistan, Iraq. She is passionate about helping pastors develop churches and expand the kingdom of God.
